Technology has changed our lives so much that we lead a convenient life anytime and anywhere. The world of electronics has offered mankind so many wonderful gadgets. One of them is Apple iPod, an electronic gizmo. This extremely compact and light device is the perfect electronic device or better yet, electronic companion, for almost any activity. But technology and convenience do not always go hand in hand.
With so much convenience in such a small widget, we can expect the unexpected. The Apple iPod can run into occasional glitches like any portable device or MP3 player despite normal use. If your iPod freezes right in the middle of your favorite song, there are few measures to cope and thaw out your frozen iPod.
1. Press the toggle switch on and off simultaneously. Continue doing this for several seconds until the screen turns black.
2. Next, press and hold the Menu and Select buttons. Wait for the black screen to reload the Apple logo and flash onto the default screen. This may take a few seconds. Sometimes, you may need to repeat the process.
3. If you still notice that it is not functioning properly or playing a particular song correctly when selected, you have to connect your iPod to iTunes with the USB cord provided. The iPod will update itself once the program is loaded and rectify the malfunctioning.
4. If you still experience operational problem with your iPod, you can select the Menu and use the option given in iTunes to reset your iPod to its default status. This will help restore any missing files and solve the problem.
5. If you have problems in resetting it, lay it on the flat surface. Press the Menu button carefully so that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Be sure to press it toward outside and not near the center.
